The major portion of the site update is complete – updated WordPress to the latest version, which seems to have solved the comment-spam problem entirely. I’m still running down a few minor glitches in internal site links, but everything else is running smoothly.
I’m also taking a web design/Dreamweaver class starting this week and running through mid-November; this should lead to a smoother-running site (I hope!).
Most of the art updates in the near future will probably be in the Sketchbook area, but if I get any finished pieces done I’ll post and announce them.

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009September Site Update
Sunday, September 6th, 2009After a year of dealing with other things and not updating the site at all, I’m finally getting around to it. The site is going to be overhauled by the end of the month, and more sketches (and hopefully artwork!) will be added starting this week.
Technical difficulties
Friday, August 15th, 2008I seem to have misplaced my network card, which means that I won’t be able to post any sketches or other pictures for the next couple weeks (I’m posting from a computer at work, which I can’t connect my camera to). Barring a stroke of luck, the earliest date I’ll be able to post pictures again is the first week of September.
First sketches
Monday, July 14th, 2008After several weeks of frustrating camera and connectivity issues, I can finally start posting sketches. Victory! I don’t have access to a scanner at this time, so I’m using a camera on my sketchbook and tidying the results in Photoshop; when I return to civilization in late August, I’ll scan everything in properly and replace the images.

The sketch on the left is one of the presenters from training week, way back in early June – I believe he was from the either the New Mexico Dept. of Game and Fish or the National Forest Service. On the right are a stuffed and mounted deer and (I believe) antelope, also drawn during training week.
To explain, since I don’t think I have yet: I’m spending the summer post-graduation working out at the Philmont Scout Ranch in northeastern New Mexico. This is my 5th year working here, and the last for the foreseeable future. It’s a great place to work, and I’m working with a fun group of people; but the pay isn’t great, and I’m not really using my BFA, except in my free time (I’m employed as a cook). So in August, it’ll be back to the ‘real world’ and job-hunting.
Online.
Monday, May 26th, 2008Site is up, all links should be working properly. Images will be scanned and uploaded over the rest of this week, as time permits (it’s the middle of finals >.>). I’m pretty happy with the whole thing.
